Grantmaking

The LA84 Foundation awards grants in Southern California's eight counties: Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura. The Foundation serves all of Southern California, but gives special emphasis to Los Angeles, the city that hosted the 1984 Olympic Games.

The Foundation seeks to serve the entire community, but gives special attention to groups and communities underserved by traditional sports programs, including girls, ethnic minorities, and the physically challenged and developmentally disabled. LA84 Foundation funds are primarily intended for the development of youth sports below the elite level.

The LA84 Foundation will consider a request from any bona fide Southern California organization devoted to amateur sports. We do not use a standardized grant application form.
